BAKTRIA, Kingdom of, Hermaios, (c.105-90 B.C.), silver drachms, as Indo-Scythian imitations (1.66, 2.23 g), uncertain mint in the Paropamisadai region, obv. Hermaeus diademed bust to right, around **BASILEWS SOTHROS ERMAIOU*, rev. Zeus seated to left holding sceptre, monograms in left or right field, (cf.S.7741, M.415o, 419h, Bop. series 11, [nos 64-74 [Pl.56], and series 17 [nos.106-108], HGC 12, 302 and 305). Attractive tone, very fine - good very fine, scarce. (2)
