DOMITIAN, issued as Caesar under Titus, (A.D. 81-96), AE dupondius/as, Rome mint, issued A.D. 80, (11.80 g), obv. laureate head of Domitian to left, around CAES DIVI [VESP F] DOMITIANVS COS VII, rev. S C across field, Spes standing to left, holding flower, (cf.S.2693, Group 3, RIC 351 variant (Titus), C.460 variant). Green patination, nearly very fine/very fine and very rare, variety not in RIC.

This is a variant of RIC 351 by having the bust to left (unlisted in RIC and designated type 2A.
