COMMODUS, (A.D. 177-192), AE sestertius, Rome Mint, issued A.D. 187, (18.46 g), obv. laureate head of Commodus to right, around [M] COMMODVS [ANT P] FELIX AVG BRIT, rev. around [P M TR P XII IMP VIII COS V P P, MON AVG] in exergue, the three Monetae standing left, side by side each holding scales and cornucopiae, (S.5771, RIC 500, C.375). Green patina, somewhat pitted in places, otherwise good fine - nearly very fine and very scarce.
