BELGIUM. Silver 100 Francs Restrike, 1911. NGC PROOF-64.
Bogaert-1805B5; cf. KM-Pn188. Plain edge. Official restrike circa 1961 from original dies. This richly toned survivor displays mottled light gray to slate patina with areas of multicolor iridescent sheen that pop out when tilted in the light. Beautifully preserved, the smooth fields accentuate the frosty devices adding a bit of contrast to the intricate design features. Clearly an example that was given great care and sat for a prolonged period undisturbed.
Estimate: $2000 - $3000
