Presenting much to be desired, this Choice Uncirculated "L'an 12" example exhibits richly original pewter toned surfaces that bear nary a mark, scuff, or blemish to be witnessed. The present coin is one of a VERY SCARCE issue with only seven examples recorded in the PCGS population report. Struck in the year Napoleon began amassing a "National Flotilla" to invade Britain, a plan that was ultimately thwarted by Nelson's victory at Trafalgar in 1805.
