Obverse: Central medallion containing laureate and draped bust of Peter I (the Great); around, smaller medallions containing the busts of Catherine II (the Great), Paul I, Alexander I, Nicholas I, and Alexander II; oak and laurel branches in angles; Reverse: View of the St. Isaac's Cathedral. A VERY RARE and alluring architectural type, this impressive silver type features mostly gunmetal gray surfaces with a charming iridescence sprinkled throughout. Some lightly scattered marks are noted in the fields and near the rims, but nothing is obtrusive or distracting.
