ITALY. Calabria. Tarentum. AV Diobol (1/6 Stater) (1.37 gms), ca. 320-315 B.C. NGC Ch F, Strike: 4/5 Surface: 3/5. Edge Bend.
HGC-1, 742; HN Italy-951; Fischer-Bossert-G14 (V11/R14); Vlasto-27 (same dies). Obverse: Laureate head of Apollo left, wearing laurel wreath; ΣΑ and dolphin to left; Reverse: Herakles, raising club overhead, preparing to strike the Nemean lion as it attacks from the right; bow and quiver to left, |-H below. Another example of this type, though exhibiting a bit more in the way of handling along with very slight edge bending, as noted.
