A note from BCD: It would be useful to be aware of the institutions and individuals that were sponsoring this exhibition in 1949. The names are on page 4 and amongst them we note Dr. Jacob Hirsch with a New York address and Dr. R. Hecht with a Basel address! Important collectors of that time such as Niggeler, Käppeli, Leuthold, Voirol as well as the recently brought into the limelight from Nomos, Dr. W. Stoecklin were exhibiting their coins, with the spirited Leo Mildenberg already being one of the key organizers of the whole affair.
