A note from BCD: In the expanding coin trade of the eighties several companies tried their hand in the auction market. This partnership of Hess and Dietrich was only good for one sale. Eight out of a total of 70 plates pictured select Greek, Roman and some late Byzantine electrum, the rest of the auction had a variety of world coinages including a nice collection of Renaissance medals.
