A note from BCD: A very interesting and apparently very rare auction catalogue that was written by the distinguished scholar Adrien de Longpérier, curator to the king's library and coin cabinet. The first 614 lots are Greek coins and their descriptions are quite detailed and accurate for these times. Mionnet had completed his Magnum Opus only six years ago. And yet, in the two-page introduction by the cataloguer, reference is made to Pellerin but not to Mionnet!
