A note from BCD: Another Swiss bank that, at the time, thought there was money to be made in ancient coins, was UBS. Their Geneva modern coin branch organized a joint auction with Mr. Isztiméry of Bayerische Vereinsbank of Munich who provided the ancients. 234 unremarkable Greek and Roman coins, all photographed from casts (!) made sure that this auction, proudly announced as No. 1, would never have a sequel.
