Roman Imperial, Balbinus, Denarius - RARE

Very rare denarius of Balbinus, one of the shortest reigning Emperors in Roman history. Balbinus was proclaimed emperor at the same time as Pupien, so that at the same time they both co-ruled the Empire. According to a new chronology compiled by A. Chastagnol and M. Christol, between the end of April and the beginning of May 238, there was a certain conflict between the two co-emperors, who were finally murdered by the praetorians.

Bardzo rzadki denar Balbinusa, jednego z najkrócej panujących Cesarzy w historii Rzymu. Balbinus został ogłoszony cesarzem w tym samym czasie co Pupien, dzięki czemu w jednym czasie, obaj współrządzili Imperium. Według nowej chronologii opracowanej przez A. Chastagnola i M. Christola, między końcem kwietnia, a początkiem maja 238 roku, doszło do pewnego konfliktu między dwoma współcesarzami, którzy ostatecznie zostali zamordowani przez pretorianów.
