Geta accompanied his father Septimius Severus and brother Caracalla on the British expedition, 208-211, and took charge of the civil administration in London during the northern campaigns. (Septimius Severus restored the frontier forts in northern Britain, repaired Hadrian's Wall, and spent 208-211 campaigning in Scotland.)
