TENASSERIM-PEGU: Anonymous, 17th-18th century, cast large tin coin (40.74g), 68.5 mm; mythical hintha bird facing left, with tail rising above and holding a 3-leaf branch in its beak, 12 pellets below the beak & 14 pellets beneath the tail // stylized Burmese text, based on Robinson text B1, but with square Burmese letters, one additional symbol above and two below the reverse field, some casting weakness on the reverse, VF-EF. This type was unpublished prior to our Auction 33 (January 2019).
