GREAT MONGOLS: Anonymous, ca. 1230s-1260s, AV dinar (4.49g), Qara Qorum, AH(6)34, A-3638Q, cf. Zeno-253729, 3-line Arabic text, starting with al-urdu al-a'zam followed by several unread words, likely Uighur in Arabic script, mint name KWRM in Uighur below (=Qorum) // kalima, without the caliph; partly legible Arabic legends in the margins, about 15% flat, EF, RRR. The date is rather crudely engraved, but the portion read as "sana arba'a wa thalathin" ("year four and thirty) seems very plausible. Qara Qorum was located in Mongolia and was the administrative capitol of the Great Mongols before they moved their capital to China in 1260.
