Hafs; unpublished and presumably unique, pierced, fully legible with virtually no weakness, Fine to VF, RRR. According to the 9th century historian Baladhuri, 'Umar b. Hafs was named governor of Sind immediately before Da'ud b. Yazid (whose silver dammas are common), approximately AH184, which began on 4 February 800 AD. There are no silver coins known in the name of 'Umar b. Hafs.
