Tipu Sultan introduced a set of new Persian names for the various denominations, which appear on all of the gold and silver coins and on some of the copper. The double-paisa was refered to either as an othmani (the third caliph of the Rashidun) or a mushtari (the planet Jupiter). Dated using the Mauludi system introduced by Tipu Sultan in 1784.
