MYSORE: LOT of 37 copper coins of Tipu Sultan and earlier rulers, including Tipu Sultan: 8 paisa (4 Patan, 4 Nagar), 7 ½ paisa (5 Patan, 2 Faiz Hisar), 15 ¼ paisa (7 Patan, 1 Nagar, 3 Faiz Hisar, 2 Bangalur, 2 Khaliqabad); plus 6 earlier kasu (including an interesting type unlisted in KM) and a Haidar Ali 1/8 paisa (KM-22, tiger/axe); average circulated conditions, many quite worn but with quite a few lovely VF examples, about half with legible date, almost all with legible mint; acquired by the consignor in the late 60's and attributed on accompanying holders; retail value $1000, lot of 37 pieces.
