РУССКIЯ МОНЕТЫ ЧЕКАНЕННЫЯ СЪ 1801–1904 Г. ST. PETERSBURG, 1904. XII, (2), 24, (2), 25–125, (1) PAGES; 6 FINE PLATES. [BOUND WITH] GARSHIN, M. РУССКIЯ МОНЕТЫ ... СЪ 1905 ПО 1915 Г. Petrograd, 1916. 32 pages; 2 fine plates. Three works, bound in one volume. Crown 4to, slightly later cloth-backed boards, gilt. Binding worn and in need of restoration. Very good. An outstanding volume, bringing together three important works on Russian coins: Ilyin & Tolstoï's work on Russian coins from 1725 to 1801, Giel & Ilyin's continuation covering 1801–1904, and, most significantly, Garshin's very rare work on Nicholas II, supplementing the Giel & Ilyin work and extending its coverage to 1915. Published in small numbers in Petrograd in the midst of the war, Garshin's publication is extremely rare and was not present in either the Rezak or Archer Libraries. The only other copy we have handled was in the Leon Hermes Library in 1997. Clain-Stefanelli 11158*, 11153* and 11151.
