Hirsch, Jacob. HOCHBEDEUTENDE SAMMLUNG GRIECHISCHER MÜNZEN VORZUGSWEISE VON SICILIA, AUS ALTEM BESITZ SOWIE NUMISMATISCHE BIBLIOTHEK DES HERRN GUSTAV PHILIPSEN, KOPENHAGEN. München: No. XXXII., 14.–15. November 1912. 4to, somewhat later maroon textured cloth, gilt; original printed card covers bound in. (4), 58, (2) pages; 758 lots; 23 fine plates of coins. Near fine. An important catalogue. This copy indicates that the "altem Besitz" was Tom Virzi, though this seems doubtful and Spring does not indicate such a connection. Includes Gustav Philipsen's numismatic library. Clain-Stefanelli 2294. Grierson 279. Spring 386 [also listed under "Most important sales of ancient Greek coins"]. Presumably from the E.J. Seltman Library.
