Arthur Sambon was a third-generation numismatist, being the son of Giulio (Jules) Sambon and the grandson of Louis Sambon. He sold coins by auction under his own name and in partnership with Canessa, just as his father had sold coins on his own and in partnership with Raffaele Dura.
