William IV (1830-37), gold Sovereign, 1832, second bare head right, nose points to second I in legend with flat top ear, W.W. incuse on truncation, GULIELMUS IIII D: G: BRITANNIAR: REX F: D:, toothed border around rim both sides, rev. crowned quartered shield of arms in frame, ANNO 1832 below, 8.00g (Bentley 28; Marsh 17; S.3829B). Once cleaned, unobtrusive traces of previous placement in a ring mount, residual lustre at peripheries, very fine or better.

The calendar year mintage of Sovereigns for 1832 totals 3,737,065.

The Latin legends translates on obverse as "William IV by the Grace of God, King of the Britons, Defender of the Faith," and on the reverse "In the year 1832."
