Banco de Portugal, set of 3x progressive proofs and 1x remainder note for a 100 Escudos, ND (1947-1957), uniface obverse:
underprint with patterns at centre, watermark at left, a white space for the portrait,
uniface reverse:
1. multicolour underprint, watermark at right, white space at left,
2. brown without the underprint from the above, 'BANCO DE PORTUGAL' at top, 'CEM ESCUDOS' at bottom, fountain in arches at centre, bust of a helmeted warrior at left,
final design printed on both sides:
printed on both sides, a combination of the above, the obverse with a portrait of Pedro Nunes added at right,'100' at four corners,
all punch hole cancelled,(Pick 159r), the final note graded PMG 50 About Uncirculated, the rest are encapsulated in a PMG holder with the remark "Printing Remnants". (4).
