Head of Arethusa left, wearing ampyx and sphendone, triple- pendant earring and pearl necklace; around, four dolphins (of which two off flan) swimming in different directions. Rev. Crab within shallow circular incuse, seen from above. HGC 2 923; SNG ANS 501; SNG Cop. 481; Jenkins, Punic 47. AR. 16.04 g. 24.50 mm. R. Rare and fascinating issue. Lovely iridescent toning, with golden hues. Slightly rough surfaces, otherwise good VF.
