KINGS of CAPPADOCIA. Ariarathes VII Philometor, circa 107/6-101/0 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 29 mm, 16.50 g, 1 h), in the names and types of the Seleukid King Antiochos VII (138-129 BC). Ariaratheia or Eusebia-Tyana. Diademed head of Antiochos VII to right. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ / ΑΝΤΙΟΧΟY - EYEPΓETOY Athena standing front, head to left, holding Nike in her right hand and spear and shield in her left; to outer left, monogram above A; to inner left and right, M - K; all within wreath. SC 2149.2. Beautifully toned and unusually well preserved for the issue. Small flan fault on cheek, otherwise, about extremely fine.
