SYRIA, Seleucis and Pieria. Antioch. Augustus, 27 BC-AD 14. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27 mm, 15.07 g, 12 h), CY 30 and COS XIII = 2/1 BC. ΚΑΙΣΑΡΟΣ ΣΕΒΑΣΤΟΥ Laureate head of Augustus to right. Rev. ΕΤΟΥΣ - Λ - ΝΙΚΗΣ / IΓ Tyche seated right on rocks, holding palm frond in her right hand; below, half-length figure of river god Orontes swimming to right; in field above, two monograms. McAlee 185. Prieur 55. RPC I 4156. Nicely toned and with a superb portrait. Minor doubling and with very light die rust on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
