Carausius, Romano-British Emperor, 286-293. Antoninianus (Bronze, 24 mm, 4.22 g, 6 h), uncertain mint (Camulodunum?), 292-293. IMP C CARAVSIVS P F AVG Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Carausius to right. Rev. PA[X] AVG / S - P Pax standing front, head to left, holding olive branch in her right hand and long transverse scepter in her left. Cohen 215. RIC 484. Webb 540. Struck on a broad flan and with a bold portrait. Some minor areas of weakness, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
