Valentinian I, 364-375. Solidus (Gold, 21 mm, 4.45 g, 7 h), Treveri, 373-375. D N VALENTINI-ANVS P F AVG Laurel-and-rosette-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Valentinian I to right. Rev. VICTOR-IA AVGG / TROBC Two emperors seated facing on double-throne, holding a globe together; between them, a palm frond; behind, Victory standing facing with wings spread. Depeyrot 43/1. RIC 17b.3. Well struck and clear, a lovely piece. Minor marks and with very light doubling on the reverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
