CARIA. Knidos. Circa 449-411 BC. Drachm (Silver, 16 mm, 6.15 g, 9 h), Aeginetic standard. Forepart of a roaring lion to right. Rev. Head of Aphrodite to right, wearing pearl necklace and with her hair falling down the back of her neck and tied at the end; all within incuse square. Antike Kunst (1967), pl. 52, 463 (this coin). Cahn 86A (this coin, V41/R59). SNG Keckman 134 (same dies). Lightly toned and of lovely Classical style. The obverse struck slightly off center and with minor roughness, otherwise, good very fine.
