Obv: HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS P P Head bare r. Rx: COS III Zeus, draped to feet, standing l. holding eagle and scepter. These dies not recorded by Metcalf. Overstruck on a cistophorus of Augustus with reverse COM - ASIAE Temple, RPC-2217 or 2219. The outline of the steps, columns, and pediment of the temple, with legend [AV]GVST on entablature and ASI[AE] to right, survives in reverse field. The top of Augustus\' head can be seen from 12 to 2 o\'clock on obverse edge, while Augustus\' chin and lips push out from Hadrian\'s cheek.. EF
