Tetradrachm circa 450-440, AR 17.06 g. Slow quadriga driven r. by charioteer, holding reins; above, Nike flying r. to crown the horses. In exergue, ketos r. Rev. ΣVRAKOΣI – ON Head of the nymph Arethusa r., wearing pearl-diadem, earrings and necklace. Around, four dolphins swimming clockwise. Rizzo pl. XXXVIII, 14 (this reverse die). Struck on a very broad flan and with a lovely old cabinet tone.
