CARTHAGE. Circa 350-320 BC. Stater (Gold, 18 mm, 9.23 g, 7 h). Head of Tanit to left, wearing triple pendant earring, necklace, tied at the back and hung with eight pendants, and a wreath of grain leaves. Rev. Horse standing to right; in field to right, before horse's forelegs, three pellets arranged as an inverted triangle. Jenkins & Lewis Group IIIh (both dies unrecorded). With a wonderful old cabinet reddish tone. Extremely fine.
