China
Hupeh. Hsüan-t'ung Dollar ND (1909-1911) MS62 NGC, Wuchang mint, KM-Y131, L&M-187, Kann-45. Variety with small incuse dot on fireball, and no dot in center of Manchu. The more common of the Dragon Dollar varieties of Hupeh, but certainly appreciable nonetheless, especially when located this close to Choice Mint State. While noticeable striking weakness is seen to the dragon's scales, this is a fairly common occurrence plaguing the series, even for high-grade examples. Regardless, blast white surfaces abound, tempered by the most insignificant peripheral tone encountered at the legends as waves of brilliance ripple across the surfaces upon inspection.
