CARTAGONOVA (Cartagena, Murcia). Trishekel. (Ar. 18.95g / 30mm). 235-220 BC (FAB-480). Anv: Male head diadem on left. Rev: Ship bow with three shields, below dolphin. Good Very Fine. Very rare specimen, we have a reference to two specimens offered in public auctions, one of them (perforated) from the Cores Collection auctioned on 10/27/2016 by Jesús Vico, the other auctioned in the "Selection of 500 Coins, Medals and Banknotes "from 03/05/2003 by Aureo & Calicó. Informative note: This piece was offered at the Turiaso Collection auction (Auction # 51). We offer this very rare coin again, adapting its description and starting price to the information we currently have. This coin, even having been embellished, in our opinion, has the same pattern as the other two known specimens, both in terms of intrinsic characteristics and conservation conditions, and it is not possible to collect it in another state.
