Nicolet-Pierre-12; Consul Weber-4406; Sunrise-259. Obverse: Persian king or hero, wearing kidaris and kandys, and with quiver over shoulder, in kneeling-running stance right, holding spear and bow; satrapal bonnet to left; Reverse: Patterned incuse punch. The Double Daric is far more impressive and much SCARCER than earlier types. Good detail remains on the well struck flan, while traces of mint luster remain.
