HGC-1, 899; Vlasto-938-9; HN Italy-1053. Obverse: Nude youth, holding torch and reins, on horse galloping right; monogram to left, ΔAIMAXOC below; Reverse: Phalanthos, holding kantharos and trident, on dolphin left; monogram to right. This beautiful later Calabrian piece is sharply struck on nice metal, though the obverse design is partially off flan. This example maintains a silvery luster with very scant rainbow tone that flashes when shifted in the light.
