SICILY. Siculo-Punic. Entella. AR Tetradrachm (16.99 gms), ca. 320/15-300 B.C. NGC AU, Strike: 4/5 Surface: 3/5.
HGC-2, 289; Jenkins-249 (O78/R211); SNG Sweden-45 (same obv. die). Obverse: Head of Arethousa left, wearing wreath of grain ears; four dolphins around; Reverse: Head of horse left; palm tree to right, Punic mem below. Featuring a bold and rather large head on the obverse, this pleasingly toned example exhibits some very minor roughness, but also offers a very well centered strike on a somewhat compact flan.
