Obverse: Laureate head of Apollo facing slightly left, with drapery around neck; Reverse: Swan standing left, with wings spread; ΔIONYΣAΣ above. Exhibiting some wear upon the high points, this wholesome and exceptionally attractive facing head issue presents tremendous artistry, especially considering the small canvas with which the engraver had to work. Beautifully toned and wholly deserving of its star designation.
