(1901) Queen's South Africa medal with five clasps: CAPE COLONY, TUGELA HEIGHTS, ORANGE FREE STATE, RELIEF OF LADYSMITH, and TRANSVAAL. Silver, 36 mm. MY-150 (clasps i, x, xiv, xv, xix), BBM-108. Edge mount with straight bar swivel suspension. Extremely Fine.
3460 Pte J. WILSON, 1st BORDER REGt impressed on edge. An attractive and lustrous piece with faint blue tones over brilliant polished surfaces. The "ghost dates" 1899 and 1900 are quite clear in the lower portion of the open right reverse field.

Private John Wilson died on May 21, 1902 at Groenfontein of Bright's Disease. He is listed on the Hawick Boer War Memorial in Hawick, Scotland.
