THRACE. Islands off Thrace. Thasos. AR Tetradrachm (15.71 gms), ca. 90-75 B.C. VERY FINE.
cf. HGC-6, 359; OTA-Class V. Obverse: Stylized wreathed head of Dionysos right; Reverse: Stylized Herakles standing left, holding club and lion skin. A nice specimen of the degraded Tetradrachm type, this example strays quite far stylistically from the original issues. Some light circulation, but overall, free of issue.
