Paris, 20–28 avril 1896. 4to, contemporary dark brown quarter calf, gilt. vii, (1), 180 pages; 1291 lots; 38 of 41 very fine autotype plates of coins [lacking 1, 3 and 4, and with coins clipped from Plates 16, 39 and 40], with the missing or cut plates supplied in computer printout form. Mostly hand-priced in pencil. Binding very worn; plates with ink stamp; intermittent spotting. Good. An incomplete and rather worn copy of this rare and exceptionally important catalogue, superbly illustrated.
