Combines a detailed history of the subject with a catalogue of the pieces themselves. Many of DiMaggio's possessions were sold in 2006 by Hunt Auctions, a major firm in the field of sports collectibles. The Letter of Provenance included with the book is signed by two of DiMaggio's granddaughters. The inscription from Don Kagin reads: "To Joe DiMaggio: I sincerely hope you enjoy reading about these coins which are as much a part of our country's heritage as you are."
