James I (1603-1625), Second Coinage, Shilling, 1609-1610, Tower, fifth crowned and cuirassed bust right, rev. square-topped shield, 5.99g, 10h, m.m. key (North 2101; Spink 2656), an extraordinary Jacobean jewel with a sublime portrait, a most handsome extremely fine, the pyx mark rare, the exceptional state of preservation excessively so.
