Charles I (1625-1649), Group B, Shilling, 1625-1626, Tower, second crowned bust left, wearing ruff, colon stops, rev. square-topped shield over long cross fleury, 5.89g, 5h, m.m. cross calvary (Francis 1a; Sharp B1/1; Brooker 403; North 2218; Spink 2784), areas of partial striking softness to peripheries, otherwise toned, very fine or near so, with traces of red wax in recesses.
