MACEDON, Akanthos. Circa 525-470 BC. AR Tetrobol (15mm, 2.50 g). Forepart of lion left, head turned as if biting prey; floral ornament in exergue / Quadripartite incuse square. AMNG III/2, 14; HGC 3, –; SNG ANS –. Toned, earthen deposits on reverse. Good VF. Very rare.
