Sweden, Adolf Fredrik SM 86 2 mark 1754 10.39 g. Stockholm. Lightly cleaned. Obverse with insignificant spots. R. SMB 66. Year 1754 is the last time a coin of denomination 2 mark is struck! The denomination was introduced during the Dacke War in 1543 under Gustav I:s rule, see additional in depth text previously in this auction! Over time the 2 mark went from a large impressive coin of over 20 g to a smaller size with about half the weight! Nevertheless the 2 marken 1754 is a fairly scarce date of the denomination. 1+
