SICILY. Naxos. Circa 415-403 BC. Litra (Silver, 10.0 mm, 0.77 g, 10 h). ΝΑΞΙΩΝ Head of youthful Dionysos to left, wearing ivy wreath. Rev. Youthful Silenos kneeling to left, holding a thyrsos with his left hand and raising a wine cup (skyphos) to his mouth with his right. Cahn -. Campana 27 = Moretti, NAC 25, 2003, 86 (same dies). Of great rarity, possibly the second example known. Clear. Cleaned, and with some loss of detail, otherwise, about extremely fine.
