EGYPT. Alexandria. Hadrian, 117-138. Drachm (Bronze, 34.00 mm, 22.70 g, 12 h), year KA = 21 = 136-137. ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙC ΤΡΑIAN - [ΑΔΡΙΑΝΟC CEB] Laureat, draped and cuirassed bust of Hadrian to right. Rev. L KA Kalathos containing grain ears and poppies set on the ionic capital of a column standing between two serpents facing each other. Dattari (Savio) 1928. Geissen 1228. K&G 32.738. RPC III 6186. With a dark greenish-brown patina and a particularly unusual reverse type. Roughness and flat striking on the obverse, otherwise, fine/good very fine.
