ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Nike standing left with her wings spread, holding laurel wreath in her right hand and stylis in her left; to left, ΜΙ; to right below wing, monogram of ΜΥΡ within wreath. From a collection in the Antipodes, ex Nomos 5, 25 October 2011, 141.

This piece was struck under the auspices of Selelukos I. The quality of the die cutting at Babylon is surprisingly fine: the gold staters struck there and at Memphis in Egypt are among the stylistically finest of all those struck in the name of Alexander.
