BOEOTIA. Haliartos. Circa 400-375 BC. Stater (Silver, 21 mm, 12.00 g, 6 h). Boeotian shield adorned with upright trident. Rev. ΑRI-ΑR-Τ-Ι-ΟΝ Poseidon, nude, advancing right, extending his right hand and brandishing trident held in his upraised left. BCD Boiotia 163 (same dies). BMC 16. Head, Boeotia, 3. Pozzi 1378 (same dies). Extremely rare, possibly only the third known example of this die combination. Usual severe die break on the reverse and rough surfaces, otherwise, very fine.
